Cherry Creek Park

On the back side of the Old City Lake, Cherry Creek park offers several amenities to the residence and visitors of Canton. A concrete walking path meanders through large trees. A large playscape sits in the shade. 

Mill Creek Reservoir

This lake may very well be one of the best kept fishing secrets in East Texas. Large mouth bass records have been set here; currently the 10th largest bass in Texas has been caught here. This lake also includes crappie, bream, catfish and once a year Texas Parks and Wildlife stocks a small pond connected to the larger lake with trout. There is also a boat ramp to launch from.

Old City Lake

Pier and bank fishing, swimming (no lifeguard on duty), picnic areas, playground, lighted tennis and volleyball courts, baseball and soccer fields.

Rodeo Arena and Van Zandt County Fairgrounds
