About Roger Creager
For over 25 years Roger Creager has been one of Texas country music's most beloved performers. A two-time Entertainer of the Year, Texas Music Awards 2001 and CMA Texas 2015, Creager has sold over 250,000 albums and earned thirteen #1 singles on the Texas Music Chart as an independent artist.
He co-wrote George Strait's "Sittin' On the Fence" and has collaborated with Cody Johnson, Kevin Fowler, Josh Abbott, Deryl Dodd, and Gary P. Nunn. In November 2023 he made his Grand Ole Opry debut.

Bicycle Decorating Contest
Kick off the morning by decorating your bike in red, white, and blue. Bring the kids out early and show off your patriotic spirit before the parade rolls through downtown.
Watermelon Eating Contest
A Canton Fourth of July tradition. Show up hungry and ready to compete — fastest finisher wins.
Independence Day Parade
One of Canton's most beloved July 4th traditions, the parade rolls through downtown starting at 10:30 AM. Participants line up at First Baptist Church of Canton by 9:30 AM. Spectators line the downtown route for a classic small-town Fourth of July celebration.

Starting at 5:00 PM on the west side of the First Monday grounds, classic and custom cars take the spotlight. Browse the lineup, soak in the summer evening, and enjoy the atmosphere as Canton gears up for the fireworks.

Cap off America's 250th birthday with a fireworks show at dark over the First Monday grounds. Grab your spot early, this is one of Canton's biggest nights of the year.
