The Tailwind Regional Balloon Festival is back!

The City of Canton, Texas is hosting the eleventh Annual Tailwind Regional Balloon Fest. This event will open to the public on Friday, July 8 at 4 p.m. and Saturday, July 9 at 4 p.m. and it will be held on the west side of the First Monday Trade Days grounds. The balloon festival will showcase upwards of 30 balloons. The balloon glow ceremony is scheduled at 8:00 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday evening.  The cost of admission is $10 per car, $20 for vans (8-15 people) and $50 for buses.

The Tailwind Regional Balloon Fest will include not only the balloon glow, but also live entertainment on Friday night by Cody Norman and an epic concert Saturday night after the glow by Shinebox. There will be the wildly popular 5k Glow Run on Friday night, a Car Show on Saturday, kids fun zone, petting zoo, tethered balloon rides, bounce houses, and great craft and food vendors on both days.

If you would like to catch the competitions, make sure you show up around 7 a.m. at the festival grounds to see the balloons. Their goal is to drop a bean bag out of their balloon and hit a target. It is amazing to see how close some of the balloonists can get simply riding the wind. These competitions will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Tailwind Regional Balloon Fest is hosted by the Canton Visitors Bureau with ReMax Landmark as the title sponsor.  This festival is intended to showcase Canton and proceeds will benefit Children’s Miracle Network.  Come see all that the Balloon Festival has to offer!
